I tried to edit nautilus.css, but then I realized that this file version is not designed for nemo. I like good old light-themes (Ambiance) from repositories, so I installed it but there was the same problem with unreadable desktop icon font color. Few days ago I switched to Linux Mint 17 Cinnamon.
